Billing your Insurance

Superior Eye Health Center extends the courtesy of filing to insurance companies. However, please understand that insurance coverage is a contract between the policyholder and the insurance company, not the insurance company and our office. The party responsible for the patient is ultimately responsible for the payment of services. We will do our best to determine eligibility and coverage directly from your insurer, however, the benefits quoted by your insurance company are not a guarantee of payment. As a result, our office cannot be responsible for your insurer’s final payment and benefit determinations.

Patients see us for routine or medical eye appointments and the two may not be mutually exclusive. Our office can bill medical eye care and when appropriate, based on the guidance of certain vision plans, may bill medical insurance first and coordinate benefits between medical and vision insurance.

Our optometrists will determine your diagnosis and treatment plan based on the evidence presented during your exam. This plan may require additional testing and billing through your medical insurance prior to your vision benefits.
