Dr. Johnson is scheduled to conduct the following lectures:

Topic: "Understanding Developmental Vision Problems and the Neurological Basis for Remediation"

Abstract: Comfortable and efficient visual skills such as: fixation and tracking, orienting and spatial localization, as well as peripheral and binocular vision abilities can improve visual information processing and perception for tasks of daily living. Diagnosis such as convergence insufficiency, strabismus, amblyopia, oculomotor dysfunction, and post traumatic vision syndrome in acquired brain injury will be discussed as contributory factors in reading dysfunctions, attention deficit disorders, sensory integration issues, developmental delays, vestibular issues and headaches. A model of vision evaluation and treatment that assesses the ability of the visual system to derive meaning and direct action will be presented
